Med Spa Compounding

Compounded Medications, Delivered Free Anywhere in Texas.

UnityRX Pharmacy compounds topical creams, gels, and serums to a prescriber’s exact written order. Medical spas, dermatology practices, and aesthetics clinics across Texas send us these orders when a client needs something a commercial manufacturer doesn’t make.

UnityRX doesn’t perform the procedure, and the pharmacy doesn’t decide what a client needs. That decision happens before an order ever reaches us: a licensed prescriber has already examined the client and written down the strength, base, and ingredients they want. If you’re not sure whether a compounded option fits your treatment plan, ask your prescriber.

What This Addresses

Not every product a provider wants to prescribe exists on a shelf. The strength might not be sold anywhere, or a client might react to the fragrance or dye in a standard formula. Other times a provider wants three active ingredients combined into one product instead of three separate bottles. UnityRX fills the order exactly as written.

A few reasons a med spa reaches out for a compounded formulation:

  • A concentration that isn’t sold commercially
  • Fragrance or dye sensitivity, common with clients doing frequent in-office treatments
  • Several active ingredients combined into a single product
  • A different base entirely, like a lightweight gel instead of a heavy cream for someone applying makeup soon after

Conditions Supported Through Med Spa Compounding

Here’s where UnityRX compounding shows up most in med spa and aesthetics practices. Every formulation is prepared to a licensed prescriber’s written order:

Compounding Focus Why a Compounded Option May Be Considered Common Approaches
Anti-Aging & Scar Support Compounding Standard products don’t offer the strength or ingredient combination a provider wants to prescribe Custom-strength creams and serums combining several active ingredients in one formulation
Hyperpigmentation & Skin Tone Compounding A client wants a tone-focused formulation tailored to a provider’s specific protocol rather than a single-strength retail product Custom-strength topical creams targeting tone and texture, prepared to a provider’s written order
Hair Restoration Topical Compounding A client’s provider wants a specific strength or combination not sold commercially Custom topical solutions and serums prepared to a provider’s written order
Pre/Post-Procedure Numbing & Recovery Compounding A client needs topical comfort before or after an in-office procedure and a single-ingredient commercial product isn’t strong enough for the provider’s protocol Custom-strength topical anesthetic blends and post-procedure soothing creams
Stretch Mark & Body Contouring Compounding A provider wants a combination formulation not available as a single commercial product Custom creams combining collagen-supporting and skin-repair ingredients
Acne & Clarifying Compounding A client needs a specific strength or combination, or reacts to a standard product’s inactive ingredients Custom-strength clarifying creams and gels, dye-free or fragrance-free on request
Sensitive Skin & Post-Laser Recovery Compounding A client’s skin needs a gentle, fragrance-free base after a laser or resurfacing procedure Fragrance-free, dye-free barrier-support and soothing creams prepared to a provider’s order
Vitamin & Antioxidant Topical Compounding A provider wants a specific concentration or combination of topical vitamins not sold commercially Custom-strength topical vitamin and antioxidant serums and creams
Post-Injectable Aftercare Compounding A client needs a soothing or recovery formulation after a filler or neurotoxin injection, tailored to the provider’s aftercare protocol Custom recovery and soothing creams prepared to a provider’s written order
Custom Sunscreen & Photoprotection Compounding A client needs a fragrance-free or non-comedogenic base a commercial sunscreen doesn’t offer, often after a procedure that increases sun sensitivity Custom-formulated photoprotective creams prepared to a provider’s specification
Under-Eye & Dark Circle Compounding A provider wants a specific strength or ingredient combination targeted to the delicate under-eye area Custom-strength, gentle topical creams formulated for the under-eye area

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer home delivery?
Yes. We ship compounded medication anywhere in Texas, and most orders go out the next business day once your medication is prepared. No trip to the pharmacy required.

How do I send my prescription to UnityRX Pharmacy?
There are a few ways to get your prescription to us: fax it to 972-214-0351, have your provider e-prescribe it directly to UnityRX Pharmacy, call us at 972-214-0350 with your prescriber’s contact information, or use our online transfer form and include your prescriber’s contact information.

Will UnityRX perform my med spa treatment?
No. We’re a compounding pharmacy, not a med spa or aesthetics clinic. Your provider handles the procedure. We just build the topical they’ve already prescribed for it.

Can my med spa send the prescription straight to you?
Yes, provided it comes from a licensed prescriber authorized to write in Texas. That could be a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant supervising your med spa. Whoever wrote the order can send it our way.

Does insurance cover this?
Depends on the plan and the formulation. Best bet is to call your insurer directly, or ask our pharmacy staff about payment options once your prescription is submitted.
