How Von Ormy Pet Owners Get Started
The whole process fits in three steps, and for most Von Ormy pet owners the first one happens before they even leave the vet clinic.
- Have your veterinarian send it. E-prescribing lands with us in minutes, and the fax at 972-214-0351 gets checked all day.
- We call before we compound. That call confirms your pet's details and the exact price, so nothing surprises you later.
- Choose how it reaches you. Free delivery for compounded medication to your Von Ormy address, free statewide shipping, or pickup at the Plano counter.
Transferring a pet's prescription from another pharmacy? Give us a call at 972-214-0350 with the name of your current pharmacy, or use our online transfer form, and we handle the switch from there.
Not sure where to start? Call 972-214-0350 and let us sort it out with you.
Some of the Conditions We Compound For
Here are some of the conditions we compound for, each with its own page:
- Feline Thyroid Compounding
- Pain and Arthritis Compounding for Dogs and Cats
- Pet Behavioral and Anxiety Compounding
- Flavored and Easy-to-Administer Pet Medications
- Equine and Exotic Animal Compounding
Why Pets Need Compounded Medications
A ten pound terrier and a ninety pound shepherd rarely do well on the same tablet, yet that is often the only strength sold. Compounding fixes the mismatch. We adjust the dose to the animal in front of us, then put it in a form that animal will accept: a chicken flavored liquid for a cat that fights pills, or a transdermal gel for one that fights everything. Dogs usually do better with a chewable they mistake for a treat. Horses and rabbits bring their own dosing puzzles, birds and reptiles even more so, and we compound for all of them. Your Von Ormy veterinarian writes the prescription, and we make it work for the patient.
