Non-Nicotine Cessation Medication Compounding

Compounded Medications, Delivered Free Anywhere in Texas.

Nicotine replacement isn't the only path. Some prescribers reach for something else instead, or add it alongside NRT. UnityRX Pharmacy compounds those prescriptions too, changing the form or the flavor when the commercial pill just doesn't work for a patient. Patients managing cravings alongside their cessation plan can also see our cravings and withdrawal support compounding options.

What We Compound

A few examples: swapping a tablet for a liquid suspension because swallowing pills is hard. Flavoring a daily liquid dose so it's actually bearable months in. Stepping a strength up or down to match a titration schedule your prescriber wrote.

We're a 503A pharmacy. That means every preparation is made for one specific patient under one specific prescription, not produced ahead of time for anyone who walks in.

  • E-prescribe: Your doctor's office can send it electronically to UnityRX Pharmacy.

Which non-nicotine cessation medications can be compounded?

Talk to your prescriber. If they think a compounded version makes sense for your plan, write the order and we'll prepare it.

Why would someone need a compounded version instead of the commercial tablet?

Swallowing difficulty is the most common reason. Needing a strength that isn't sold commercially, or cutting out an ingredient a patient reacts to, come up too.

Do compounded medications work the same as the commercial version?

Same active ingredient, adjusted strength or form. How well it works still comes down to the individual patient, which is a question for your prescriber, not us.

Can I switch from a commercial tablet to a compounded version partway through treatment?

Yes, with an updated prescription from your provider. Many patients start on the commercial product and switch once they know a compounded version fits their needs better.
